Hello BIASC Members,
Front Row Washington D.C. Recap
On June 19-21, BIASC Front Row traveled to Washington D.C. with a team of members to advocate on Capitol Hill. Our team had a productive day of meetings with Congressional and Senate offices to address housing, infrastructure, labor, and other pressing issues for our industry.
Trip highlights included touring the White House West Wing and Press Room, accommodations at the historic Willard Hotel, dining at some of DC's finest restaurants with incredible views, and meeting with Dr. Ben Carson at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Our BIASC President Tom Grable led a discussion on the specific housing issues that Southern California is facing, and Dr. Carson was very engaging and eager to find creative solutions to create more housing. As Dr. Carson said, "The home is the bedrock of community, and community is the bedrock of our nation."
