Hello BIASC Members,
This year, HomeAid Orange County celebrates 30 years of building new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach. Celebrate with us on September 14th at the Hotel Irvine. On September 28th, our Greater Sales & Marketing Council will celebrate and honor the top professionals in our industry at the annual SoCal Awards, and on October 8th we will meet and celebrate the year-end with leaders of the Labor Industry at our UCC Annual Wine Tasting Dinner.
As the housing crises continues to dominate headlines, Southern California must plan for 1.3 million new homes in the next decade, according to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). With this fresh momentum comes new precautions as mandates and amendments of general plans and zoning laws will require new, specific changes. BIASC will continue to closely monitor these ongoing plans and advocate for rational policy approaches to fostering more homebuilding.

Welcome To Our House: BIASC's First Ever Junior Builder Camp
Check out photos from our first ever Junior Builder Camp for kids! This five day experience included team-building educational games featuring online home building and design, a tour of Brookfield Residential's Design Studio, a construction site and model home tour of Varenna in Orchid Hills by TRI Pointe Homes SoCal, an inspirational meet-and-greet with Tilly Levine, founder of Tillys retail stores and Tilly's Life Center, and a final online home presentation with a panel of industry judges, awards, a pizza party and much more.

HomeAid Orange County: Celebrating 30 Years of Giving Back
This year marks the 30th Anniversary of HomeAid and our mission to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach.
Since 1989, HomeAid has been the leader in developing the basic need of shelter by collaborating with service providers to develop 63 housing projects that have transformed the lives of more than 65,000 individuals experiencing homelessness.
In our 30th year, we will be spotlighting HomeAid's growth and successes throughout the year to help raise awareness of the critical issue of homelessness, as well as celebrate the builders, donors, volunteers and others who have helped us address it.
We invite you to join us on September 14 at the Hotel Irvine to help us Eat, Drink, and Celebrate 30!
