The Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC) today announced that Jim Carroll, the world’s leading futurist and expert on trends and innovation, will serve as keynote speaker for the upcoming Building Industry Show, a highly anticipated two-day event featuring the largest building industry trade show in Southern California while celebrating the centennial anniversary of the BIASC and the 85th anniversary of the BIA of San Diego (BIA-SD).

Caroll’s keynote, “Constructing New Futures: The Acceleration of the Residential and Industrial Construction Industries,” will provide attendees with an overview of the latest trends and disruptive ideas based on extensive industry research. From AI to virtual building fabrication to the arrival of a new generation of engineers, Carroll will take a deep dive into the rapidly evolving sector and share how others in construction have innovated successfully.

“We are honored to welcome such a globally respected speaker to our event,” said Craig Foster, Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President for BIASC. “Mr. Carroll will reveal how new methodologies and bold thinking are truly redefining the construction sector at lightning speed. The opportunity to experience his keynote and the takeaways that follow it––including proven innovation strategies in a fast-paced world––will be one of the most thought-provoking highlights of the day.”

Carroll’s global client list includes esteemed organizations such as NASA, Disney, PGA of America, and Pfizer, to name a few. He is known for his customized research––which he undertakes for every engagement––to share insights, provide counsel, and help organizations accelerate. Carroll is also the author of numerous books, including “The Future Belongs to Those Who Are Fast” and “Ready, Set, Done: How to Innovate When Faster is the New Fast.”
