IRVINE, Calif. – December 8, 2021 – The Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC) is pleased to announce four Chapter Installation Galas for BIA Chapter leadership, top builders, associate members, and housing advocates to celebrate the year-end and installation of the 2022 Chapter Presidents and Boards of Directors.

The Building Industry of Orange County (BIAOC) Chapter held their 55th Annual Installation Gala on November 12, 2021 at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point, Calif. The induction and installation of incoming President Eric A. Nelson of Trumark Homes and the 2022 Board of Directors was celebrated with the theme “Let Us Build Now: Advocacy To Activism.”

“Today, the regulatory environment represents the most significant obstacles and barriers to housing,” said Eric Nelson, Vice President of Community Development, Trumark Homes and 2022 BIA Orange County Chapter President. “These regulations result in unnecessary friction that causes delays, results in less housing, and in some cases, no housing at all. I look forward to working closely with BIA staff and our members to advocate for our decision-makers to Let Us Build Now!”

BIA Riverside County Chapter “Building For The Future” Installation Gala welcomed incoming President, Mike Freeman of Lennar and the 2022 Board of Directors on November 19th at the historic Mission Inn, Riverside, Calif.

“2022 is going to be an exciting year for the Riverside Chapter! We have a strong Board and Executive Committee and I look forward to working with them all to grow our chapter membership and continue to be fierce advocates for our industry in the communities where we all build. Working together, I know we will continue to keep Riverside County a great place for home building.” said Mike Freeman, Vice President of Land Acquisition, Lennar and 2022 Riverside Chapter President-Elect.

“Better Together” – This year’s theme for the BIA Baldy View Chapter Annual Installation & Holiday Gala will honor the 2022 President, Tim Roberts, Director, Land Entitlement, Brookfield Properties alongside the 2022 Board of Directors. The gala will be held on December 9th at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel.

“Our Gala nurtures the spirit of giving already embedded in the DNA of the Association and culminates with the installation of the Baldy View Chapter Board of Directors,” said Baldy View Chapter President Tim Roberts, Brookfield Residential. “However, it also provides a platform to recognize the exceptional contributions of our tireless volunteers when we present our Industry Leadership Awards.”

The BIA Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter Awards and Installation Gala will take place December 16th at the Westlake Village Yacht Club. The “Mask-Arade” Gala will honor incoming president Bill McReynolds of Warmington Residential along with the 2022 Board of Directors announcement.

“2022 is ripe with opportunity! We’ve really focused on advocacy the last two years with great successes,” said Bill McReynolds, Director of Land Acquisitions, Warmington Residential and 2022 BIA LA/V Incoming Chapter President. “Now that we are experiencing more normalcy, we can begin growing and further strengthening our educational, event and membership offerings, as well. We have a strong Board and Chapter team, and I’m excited for what’s to come!”

“We are excited these four installation galas will hold in-person events to honor and also welcome returning and incoming presidents to their respective chapters,” said BIASC CEO Jeff Montejano. “As stated before, there have been momentous changes to our industry in recent years and our leaders continue to lean in and lead our building industry professionals.”
